Chinese American Historical Museum Visit

On July 27, 2024 SBCC members and guests attended a one-hour guided tour at the Chinese American Historical Museum in San Jose.

One of our members, Gerrye Wong who co-founded the museum and Anita Kwock who was our docent, took the group on a tour in the two-story building. The group learned a great deal about the history of San Jose’s Chinatown. Who would have guessed there were five Chinatowns at one time in the history of San Jose.

 Afterwards, the group enjoyed a dim sum lunch arranged by Gerrye at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant.
