In Memory of Gladys Lee (1935-2024)
It is with a heavy heart that we convey the news of the passing of Gladys Lee on the evening of Wednesday, June 26. Gladys was a long-time SBCC member and staunch supporter of the SBCSC Scholarship Program. She and her husband Robert Lee were both SBCC Presidents in 1990 and 1993, respectively. She and her family established the Robert Vun Yau Lee Memorial Scholarships to honor Robert when he passed away in 2015. She was a wonderful woman and a great hula dancer with a strong spirit and very generous heart. She will be greatly missed by all.
In lieu of flowers, her family has asked that donations be made to the SBCSC Gladys Lee Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Gladys performed with the hula group in 2011 during the SBCC Luau at Fremont Senior Center.
Gladys received the Scholarship sponsor certificate from Scholarship Committee Chair Joe Woo in 2019.
Gladys presented the Robert Vun Yau Lee Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Performance Arts with Roger Lee and Fremont Mayor Lily Mei to Darcy Chew of American High School in 2022.
Gladys presented the Robert Vun Yau Lee Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Performance Arts to Chris Apy of Mission San Jose High School at the 2024 SBCSC Scholarship Awards Banquet on April 24, 2024.
