Legendary Story Teller -Gerrye Wong

Congratulations to Gerrye Wong for receiving the Legendary Story Teller award at the Asian American Stories Award Ceremony on May 2, 2024.

Member Gerrye Wong received the legendary Story Teller Award at the Asian American Stories Award Ceremony on May 2, 2024 at the HL Peninsula Restaurant, Milpitas.

The Gala was sponsored by Silicon Valley Community Media and DingDingTV. It spotlighted Asian American voices by awarding winners among the 70+ contestants who have submitted a short one-minute video with the theme “All of Us Belong Here”.

Gerrye co-authored two books, “Eternal Spirit”, a story of Chinese immigrants assimilating to American life as seniors and “Chinese in San Jose and Santa Clara Valley”, which chronicles the history of the Chinese community from the mid 1800’s to the present.

Although she claims to be retired, she continues her love of story telling by writing a monthly column for www.dingdingtv.com.
