A Note from Randy Sabado:

On behalf of our family, I would like to thank you for the support, encouragement, and words of sympathy we have received over the past month from many of the members of SBCSC and SBCC. 

Gerry and I have been members of SBCSC and SBCC for over 20 years.  We joined in 2000 when our son Brandon received a scholarship award and have been ardent supporters of the club's mission and involvement in the Community.  

As some of you  know, before her retirement, Gerry was an educator and advocate for early childhood education and after her retirement became more involved in preserving and telling the story  of Chinese in America. We would like to honor her memory by establishing  an annual memorial scholarship in her name.  We would like this scholarship to be granted to a deserving student who intends to go into the field of education or one who has or intends to be active in advocating for social change.   In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to one of the following:
- the Monterey Bay Aquarium (www.montereybayaquarium.org) or
- the Pacific Grove Museum of Natural History (www.pgmuseum.org), or
- to the establishment of the Gerry Low Sabado Memorial Scholarship fund.
